    INTRODUCTION This universal heated seat kit will allow you to heat up the bottom and the back of your seat in either cloth or leather interiors. The simple 3 position switch (HIGH, LOW and OFF) will allow the heating element to heat up quickly as well as maintain a comfortable warm seat.

    INSTALLATION (IMPORTANT: Read to avaoid damage to vehicle seats) Prior to starting your installation, it is recommended that you remove one of the battery terminals. This will help to prevent accidentally setting off any lights, activating an air bag, or shorting a wire. Pre-installation Remove the seat you will be installing the heating element in.

When choosing a location make sure that it will be easily accessible to the end user, could not be easily turned on by accident and that the wire harness that comes with the HSK-150 has a long enough harness to reach and still allow full movement of the seat.
  • Page 9 5. With the seat leaning back, route all the wiring and plug the switch and both heating elements into the main wire harness. Be sure that all of the wiring follows the OEM wiring and that you secure the HSK-150’s wiring to the OEM with zip ties.

Ground – Best installation practices recommend that grounding should take place in the kick panel area. Ground should be at a paint free metal area using either a ring terminal, screw and star washer or for best grounding by using a paint free metal area with a nut, bolt and star washer.

    SAFETY • The HSK-150 should only be used when a person is sitting in the seat. • The person in the seat should be able to feel temperature changes and be able to react to them. If the person has difficulty feeling temperature changes, then the heated seat should not be used as there may be a risk that the person may suffer an injury.
  • Page 12 SAFETY • The seat heating elements should not be exposed to excessive moisture. Small amounts of the following liquids do not adversely affect the seat heating unit from being operated safely and continuously after it has dried out: perspiration, beverages (e.g., coffee, cola, mineral water, etc.) brine (saltwater -5% in solution), cleaning agents containing ammonia (10% by volume), cleaning agents containing alcohol (10% by volume), cleaning agents for plastic or vinyl, or even soap water.

    OPERATION CAUTION: If at any time you feel that the seat heating elements are getting too hot or causing you to over heat, turn the seat heater down or OFF (middle position). If you feel that the seat heater may be malfunctioning, consult with your installer who installed them.     INSTALLATION Avant de commencer l’installation, il est recommandé de retirer d’une des bornes de la batterie et ce, pour éviter de déclencher accidentellement les lumières, d’activer un air bag ou de court-circuiter un fil. Pré-installation Retirer le siège dans lequel l’élément chauffant va être installé. Pour plus d’informations sur le retrait du siège, consulter le manuel d’entretien du véhicule.
