  • Page 6 The NB-4125 Commercial/industrial Bi-Parting Door Operator has been designed, tested and manufactured by brookfield industries, inc. in accordance with UL 325. The NB-4125 will operate any industrial Bi-Parting door system that requires a continuous operating force up to 500 lbs horizontally. In addition, the NB-4125 will obtain variable speeds up to 16 inches/sec and linear travel of practically any width specified.

    Terminal 1, provides the customer with discrete control by using a separate switch for each input command. The NB-4125 Bi-Parting Door Operator features momentary contact Input commands for External Safety Devices that comply with Entrapment Protection of UL 325 Section 30.2 (Fail Safe/Self-Monitoring).
  • Page 8 Class (2) power supply are also provided for additional (redundant) sensors, such as non-contact type presence sensors that are frame mounted. brookfield industries do not manufacture nor do we include External Safety Devices with any of our door operators.

    AC drive for variable speed control of the 230 volt, 3 phase, and 3hp AC motor. The NB-4125 also features a multi-speed board that attaches to the side of the motor control. The multi-speed board features control of (4) independent speeds.
  • Page 10 adjustable 1.0” diameter aluminum guide bars that are continuously supported along the length of the 10” main channel. Supply Voltage: 208/230 VAC 50/60 Hertz, 3-phase. In-line circuit breakers are supplied with for the motor control and Class 2 Power Supply. Surge protection and line Filters are featured to protect door operator components and to assure their reliable performance (immunity) as well as minimizing RF noise (emissions).
  • Page 11 NB-4125 B-Parting Door Operator Installation Instructions Although each NB-4125 has been fully inspected and tested prior to shipment, assure that no physical damage has occurred during shipping and handling. Premature failure of the timing belt assembly may occur if it’s not installed properly.

The NB-4125 should be operated at slower speeds at first and should only be increased in small increments at a time. Each time the speed (Preset 3- close and Preset 4-open) is increased, end of travel clearances should be checked.
  • Page 13 HMI Instructions -01 Touch Screen HMI GT 1. Plug the eight prong Phoen ix Connector into HMI. For operator series before ‘G,’ use the black cable; plug the opposite round end into the PLC unit on the operator. For ‘G’ series and above, use the gray cable and plug the opposite round end into the receptacle on the end cover of the operator (right side).

  • Page 15 Door Position Setup and HMI Instructions GT-01 Touch Screen 1. Plug the eight prong Phoenix Connector into GT-01. For operator series before ʻG,ʼ use the black cable, plug the opposite ROUND end into the PLC unit on the operator. For ʻGʼ series and above, use the gray cable and plug the opposite ROUND end into the receptacle on the end cover of the operator (right side).
  • Page 16 5. Youʼll be given a display of the first three user presets (Fig. 7). To edit a preset, simply touch the preset number. 6. A keypad will then display for entering the new preset (Fig. 8). Enter the desired value and touch the ENTER (bent arrow) key to set the value. Press ESC to cancel and go back to the preset list.

    Maintenance Intervals 1. Lubricate the (2) bearings supporting the take-up end shaft every 250,000 cycles. 2. Check all nuts, bolts and screws for tightness every 250,000 cycles. 3. Inspect and replace the (8) linear bearings on the Linear Guide Tracking System every 250,000 cycles if required.
