How to install the filter tank 1. Mount the pump to sand filter support by using bolts and nuts. 2. Install the drain plug assembly as shown below. Place the tank onto the sand filter support in the correct direction (the drain plug is outside, as shown below). 3.
5. Connect the sand tank to the pump with the pump hose, hose clamps, and hose adapters. INSTALLATION NOTES: 1. Make sure the filter is working under the work pressure. A pressure control valve is needed when the pool system uses a booster pump. 2.

4. Once water flow is steady out the waste line, run the pump for at least 2 minutes. The initial back-washing of the filer is recommended to remove any impurities of fine sand particles in the sand media. 5. Turn the pump off and set the valve to RINSE. Start the pump and operate until the water in the sight glass is clear (about 1/2 to 1 minute).
