Our air conditioner has leaked over a litre of water condensate. According to the manual the unit should shut down when the reservoir is full but it clearly has not done so. Is there some transit packaging on the float switch that should have been removed on first installation? (The unit is newly installed)
For the condensate Reservoir to overflow one would assume that it was full, however, on removing the drain plug, no water came out, suggesting that the reservoir was empty, whereas I would have expected the full Reservoir to gush out, given that it has overflowed...?
Also there is no mention of a continuous drain facility in the manual. Can I fit a continuous condensate drain pipe, in place of the bung , and will that solve my problem?

The the AC was working then suddenly stopped working and upon further inspection around the the whole unit, I can see the bottom part has snapped/ cracked.
I understand that the year has finished so I don't have any warranty left.
Please can you inform me of the cost for how the part and labour and call out.
Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION • Do not use any means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by the manufacturer. • The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (for example: open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater).
• Do not install and use the appliance in a bathroom or other humid environments. • Do not pull out the mains plug to turn off the appliance. • Do not place cups or other objects on the appliance to prevent water or other liquids from spilling into the air conditioning.
POSITIONING & INSTALLATION Positioning Warning: before using the local air conditioning, keep it upright for at least two hours. • The air conditioner must stand upright on an even surface. • Do not position near a bath, sink or other permanently damp or wet areas. •...
INSTALLATION ERRORS To operate efficiently the air must be able to flow freely into the exhaust hose. To assist this: • Avoid any sharp bends or kinks in the exhaust hose. • Keep it as level as possible. • Keep its length as short as possible. The maximum extension length of the exhaust pipe is 1.5m.
OPERATION MODES Cooling Mode After the air conditioner turns on, the default setting is cooling mode with 22°C and low fan speed. • Press MODE to select cooling mode, cooling mode indicator turns on. Press UP or DOWN to adjust temperature (from 16°C to 31°C). •...
• Remove the plug cap and the drainage plug to empty the tank. • When the tank is empty, refit the drainage plug and cap. • Reconnect the air conditioner to the mains supply and press the POWER button on either the front panel or the remote control. The air conditioner will restart and operate normally.
• Turn off the machine, unplug the mains plug, and wrap the power cord around the cable storage and install the drain plug and the drainage cover. • Remove the exhaust pipe and keep it safely. • Cover the appliance with a plastic bag. Store in a dry place, keep it out of the reach of children, and take dust control measures.

Checks to the refrigeration equipment • Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be fit for the purpose and to the correct specification. At all times the manufacturer’s maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If in doubt consult the manufacturer’s technical department for assistance.

Note: The use of silicon sealant may inhibit the effectiveness of some types of leak detection equipment. Intrinsically safe components do not have to be isolated prior to working on them. Repair to intrinsically safe components • Do not apply any permanent inductive or capacitance loads to the circuit without ensuring that this will not exceed the permissible voltage and current permitted for the equipment in use.

Evacuate. Purge again with inert gas. Open the circuit by cutting or brazing. • The refrigerant charge shall be recovered into the correct recovery cylinders. The system shall be “flushed” with OFN to render the unit safe. This process may need to be repeated several times.

Make sure that cylinder is situated on the scales before recovery takes place. Start the recovery machine and operate in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Do not overfill cylinders. (No more than 80 % volume liquid charge). Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cylinder, even temporarily.
TROUBLESHOOTING Trouble Cause Solution • Power is off • Switch the power on • Water-full indicator is on • Drain internal water tank • The ambient temperature is too • Recommend to use the low or too high machine in at the temperature range of 7-35 C (44-95 •...
