Multitrack recording involves a continuous
assessment of signal flow. If you follow a well-
planned thought process from the beginning of the
signal path to the end, you'll succeed in each
audio task.
When multitrack recording using the D8B, it's
helpful to visualize the basic signal flow between
fader banks. For any multitrack setup, it's impor-
tant to keep track of the signal path from the
console to the multitrack, then from the multi-
track back into the console. The illustration below
is a review demonstrating an important signal
flow concept.
