Correct optical path length is necessary for proper device performance. User must enter the actual value of the measuring path length in meters via SITRANS TDL HMI or via the web server. The measuring path length is defined as the distance between the ends of purging tubes. In case no purging tubes are installed, the optical path length is defined by the distance between surfaces of the process flanges.
