INSTALLING THE SAFETY SUPPORT (PART ONE) Place a washer onto the wood screw, then feed the screw through one of the loops of the safety cable. Install the washer and wood screw into the side of the brace that holds the outlet box. Leave 3mm (⅛”) of space between the support brace and washer.

Locate and remove the clip and pin. Loosen the screws and remove the downrod, canopy, and funnel.

Remove the clip and pin from the new downrod. Insert the canopy and funnel into the downrod, passing all wires through the downrod. Note: If using a longer downrod, connect the 43in. red and blue extension cable before installing the new downrod.
