A General Information The following procedures must be performed by the individual responsible for installation and set up of the machine at the customer facility. Upon completion of the procedure, copies of all relevant reports must be forwarded to the appropriate UIC personnel.
Page 2 52344101 Rev. A VCD/Sequencer 88 Installation Guide Initial Setup Checks The Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) contains hazardous voltages. WARNING All repairs and service must be performed by authorized service personnel only. There are no user serviceable parts inside the UPS.

Page 4 52344101 Rev. A VCD/Sequencer 88 Installation Guide Verify that the utility supply L1 to L2 line voltage is within the required range (180- 264 V, 47-63 Hz). Connect the UPS to the utility power. Power on the UPS and verify that the UPS output voltage is 230 VAC +/- 5 V.

Dispensing Heads Scrap Bins The mounting bracket on the first module is factory set and secured in CAUTION position to minimize the amount of module movement required when the drop timing adjustment is performed.

A VCD/Sequencer 88 Installation Guide Sequencer modules must be positioned relative to the chain transfer CAUTION module with the first sequencer module next to the chain transfer module. Remaining sequencer modules must be positioned progressing outward from the first module. Modules and dispensing heads are sequentially numbered.
Page 7 VCD/Sequencer 88 Installation Guide 52344101 Rev. A Secure the leveling pad locknuts to the machine frame to secure the leveling pads in position. Lower the rubber pads so they are firmly against the floor. Do not over adjust the pads or the machine will not remain in a level position.

Place the straight edge across the rotary table so the straight edge extends over the chain-to-chain casting and secure it with vice grips.

Install the chain idler spreader tool between the sprockets on the idler arms and spread the arms apart.

Adjust the first module until the alignment bar slides smoothly from the module into the chain transfer module.

With the exception of configurations over 100 stations (five modules), the pneumatic connections entail the connection of the yellow and blue tubing from the subsequent module into the respective tee coupling in the preceding module, as shown.
