    The information in this document applies to the 6241G and higher machines equipped with an internal Board Handling System (BHS) with Pass Thru (PT) Cover Package and Insertion Mount Universal Platform Software (IM-UPS) version 6.x.x and higher, hereafter referred to as the “product”.

F Product Description The products specified in this document are automated electronic assembly systems built to assist in the manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The primary function of these products is to pick and accurately place electronic components on printed circuit boards.

The workboard holder must be securely installed on the rotary table to make sure Rotary Table optimum insertion results.

F Push INTLK RESET Load Feeders (Dispensing Heads) Make sure the feeder (dispensing head) is configured to the correct component pitch (0.200 or 0.400 in. pitch). WARNING To avoid injury, do not operate machine with missing feeders (dispensing heads).

When installing polarized components in the feeders, make sure that they are correctly oriented in the feeders according to the feeder layout. If the polarization is not correct, reverse the components in the component guides on the sequencer module to feed the components in the desired polarity.

Turn the adjusting knob to adjust the component guides so there is about 0,76 mm (0.030 inch) total clearance between the tape and the other groove.

F 6241 VCD Sequencer 88 CE Operation Guide Refire LED Control Knob , do the following: Auto Load Heads Pull out and carefully rotate the control knob counterclockwise to engage the leading component on the tape. Continue rotating the control knob at least twice and no more than 9 times.

Move the main machine breaker to the position. Determine the jumper wire length to be fed for the machine class, and set the Class Selection Switch accordingly.

F 6241 VCD Sequencer 88 CE Operation Guide Secure the sensor assembly actuator beneath the retainer and run the wire between the rollers on the straightener assembly. Do not move the straightener adjustment screws when inserting the wire. The straightener should allow the wire to be inserted without having to change the adjustment settings.

Push on the machine push button control panel. The machine stops after the STOP current insertion cycle completes.

Wait a CAUTION minimum of 15 seconds between pushing the Emergency Stop switch and powering off the machine. This allows time for the hard drive to save data.

When restarting the system, always complete the power off procedure by rotating the service disconnect to OFF. Do not use Ctrl+Alt+Delete as indicated in the eComStation shutdown message because this does not reset the Force board which may cause initialization to fail.
