Install drain joint (Heat pump unit onl y ) Before bolting the outdoor unit in place, you must install the drain joint at the bottom of the unit. Note that there are two different types of drain joints depending on the type of outdoor unit.

REFRIGERANT PIPING CONNECTION When connecting refrigerant piping, � let substances or gases other than the specified refrigerant enter the unit. The presence of other gases or substances will lower the unit's capacit y , and can cause abnormally high pressure in the refrigeration cycle. This can cause explosion and inju ry.
