Induction Cooktop
How Induction Surface Cooking Works
The surface units beneath the cooking surface produce a
magnetic field that generates heat in ferrous metal pans
that are in close proximity.
The cooking surface itself does not heat. Heat is
produced in the cooking pan, and cannot be generated
until a pan is placed on the cooking surface.
When the surface unit is activated, the pan begins to heat
immediately and in turn heats the contents of the pan.
Magnetic induction cooking requires the use of cookware
stick, such as iron or steel.
large enough for the surface unit to detect the pan and be
able to deliver full power.
The cooktop will not operate if a very small steel or iron
utensil, such as a steel spatula, cooking spoon, knife
or other small utensil, is placed on the cooking surface
when the surface unit is turned on.
