DO NOT operate the filter system without completing ALL assembly instructions. 1. Inside the tank, you will find the standpipe. Locate the plastic bag containing the laterals. 2.
- Page 7 FILLING THE TANK WITH SAND 1. The filter and pump should be attached to the base prior to filling the filter with sand, as it will be difficult to maneuver once the tank is full. 2. Before filling the tank with sand, cover the standpipe with a plastic bag to prevent the sand from entering the standpipe.
- Page 8 INSTALLING THE 6-WAY VALVE 1. Locate the O-ring on the bottom of the 6-way valve. Lubricate with the O-ring lube to ensure a proper seal on the tank. Push the O-ring against the lip of the valve. The O-ring MUST sit flat against the lip to protect from leaking at the valve 2.
- Page 9 ATTACHING THE HOSES AND CLAMPS 1. The valve ports are labeled “RETURN”, “PUMP”, and “WASTE” with raised letters next to the openings. Cover the threads of each straight fitting with plumber’s tape and thread one fitting into each of the 1-1/2” threaded openings on the valve. 2.
