O Gauge Austerity / J94 0-6-0 Thank you for purchasing this Dapol product. We hope it gives you many years of enjoyment A history of the Austerity / J94 On the 1st January 1943 the first of a new class of locomotive left the Hunslet Engine Company works in Leeds, the 'Austerity' 0-6-0ST.

O Gauge Austerity / J94 0-6-0 Unboxing 1) Carefully remove the model whilst attached to its acrylic plinth from the foam insert. 2) Remove the two screws securing the locomotive to the acrylic plinth. Ensure the locomotive is suitably cradled while removing screws to avoid damage.

Remove the 6 keeper plate cover screws (shown below in yellow). • Unclip brake rodding from brake shaft as shown below. Care should be taken when lifting the keeper plate past the guard irons - this is a tight fit.
