    1 Basic Information The device must be repaired only by trained specialist staff or personnel with professional formation (such as a repair-specialist accredited by law concerning verification). The service manual is obligatory for repair work. After repair, original conditions of the device have to be restored. Only original spare parts should be used.

    3 Adjustment As the acceleration value due to gravity is not the same at every location on earth, each balance must be coordinated – in compliance with the underlying physical weighing principle - to the existing acceleration due to gravity at its place of location ( only if the balance has not already been adjusted to the location in the factory).

    4 Reset function Factory setting reset.  When the balance is switched off, press the TARE -key and keep it pressed  Do not release the TARE -key. Press also the ON/OFF -key and keep it pressed  Keep the ON/OFF -key pressed, however release the TARE -key ...

    Remove any spilt material to be weighed immediately. 5.2 Maintenance, upkeep The device may only be opened by trained service engineers authorised by KERN. Disconnect from the mains supply before opening. 5.3 Disposal The operating company shall dispose of the packaging and the device in compliance with the valid national or regional law of the operating location.

    6 Changing rubber feet Turn to the balance and place it carefully. Take a sharp tool to get under the rubber feet. Lift it and pull it away. Clean the recess of adhesive residues using a suitable adhesive remover. Peel off the protective film from the rubber feet and stick it in the recess.

    7 Changing Buttons Turn to the balance and place it carefully. Loosen the screw holding the cover. Raise the access cover. Loosen the 6 screws that secure the board. Carefully lift the board to, without damaging the cable. Now you can replace the rubber buttons. Left is the "TARE"(), right is the "ON / OFF"() button ...
