These "virtual" channels are created by summing and subtracting signals from adjacent capsules to form new, phase-coherent cardioid patterns. This allows the SRND 360 to deliver a seamless 360° sound field from a single point, ideal for a wide range of stereo and surround applications. - Page 4 4.
