    INSTALLATION STEP BY STEP 1. Shift the derailleur to biggest sprocket. 2. Remove the chain by using the chain remover. 3. Remove the rear derailleur by using the 5mm Allen key.
  • Page 4 Sram derailleur cage with a 2,5 millimeters allen key. 5. Loosen but do not remove completely the main central nut with the Nova Ride tool and a 5 millimeters hex key. PLEASE NOTE, the cage is under tension, so you have to hold it well.
  • Page 5 Take your Nova Ride cage and identify the tension holes associated with your derailleur Rival reference. Force / RED derailleurs : Top hole = Better shifting. Middle hole = Recommended tension hole. Bottom hole = Helps improve Force / RED performance.
  • Page 6 10. Take derailleur and insert it with D shape against D shape in your new Nova Ride cage. 11. Rotate the cage clockwise until it touch the derailleur body. Then remove the derailleur from the cage. The D shape should be in this position.
  • Page 7 14. Take your Nova Ride carbon front plate and insert the spring into the middle tension hole in the axle as pictured. Rotate the cage clockwise, hovering over the D interface while passing over the derailleur stop. Continue until you feel the cage clip into the D interface.
  • Page 8 17. Then finish tightening the central nut with the Nova Ride tool provided and a 5 mm hex key, with a torque of 6 Nm. Put back the two custom black screw (3 and 4 mm hex key) on the carbon front cage.
  • Page 9 20. Apply threadlock inside of each of the three black screw holes. Screw back the two 2,5 mm hex key screws, and the one 2 mm hex key screw. 22. This spacer moves the derailleur from the frame and allows to reach the right positon of the cage compare to the cassette.
  • Page 10 Shift to the smallest chainring on your crankset. In this configuration, the stopper of your Nova Ride cage should not be in contact with the body of the derailleur. Be sure to leave about minimum 2 to 3 mm...

    LAST IMPORTANT SETTINGS To ensure the best riding performance make sure that your new Nova Ride Carbon Ceramic Derailleur cage is mounted correctly. NOVA RIDE CCD CAGE AND DERAILLEUR ADJUSTMENT STEPS: 1. Shift your derailleur to the largest cog. 2. Set with the tension screw the derailleur b-limit gap so that the teeth of the biggest cassette gear is around 5 mm from the upper wheel’s teeth of your Nova Ride CCD.
