1. Unpack the System
Inspect the chassis to see whether the appliance has been damaged
in any way. If the appliance appears to be damaged, please contact
Nozomi Networks support at: support@nozominetworks.com.

2. Setup precautions and considerations
Please follow the General Safety Guidelines included in the box to
prevent potential property damage, personal injury or even death.
Furthermore, observe the following rules:
Do not use damaged equipment, including exposed, frayed or
damaged power cables.
Do not operate the appliance with any of the covers removed.
3. DIN Mounting Instructions
Unbox the appliance. Make sure that your DIN rail is properly installed. Clip the device
onto the DIN rail, keeping at least the minimum clearance from the other devices:
10mm per system when the operating temperature is between +25°C and +39°C
(77°F and 102 °F)
100mm per system when the operating temperature is between +40°C and +75°C
(104 °F and 167 °F )
4. Connect the cables
Once the appliance is in place, connect the required cables:

connected.

Choose a suitable location for the appliance:

Use a regulating uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to protect
the appliance from power surges, voltage spikes, and to keep your
system operating in case of a power failure.
A reliable ground must be maintained at all times. To ensure this,
the rack itself should be grounded and the appliance chassis
should be connected for grounding to the rack via the provided
appliance grounding cable.
It should be mounted into a rack or otherwise placed so that the
amount of airflow required for safe operation is not compromised.

Getting Started
It should be situated in a clean, dust-free area that is well
ventilated. Avoid areas where heat, electrical noise and
electromagnetic fields are generated.
Avoid areas that can get wet. Protect the appliance from liquid
intrusion. If the appliance comes into contact with liquid,
power off the appliance immediately.
Temperature: -40 - +75°C (-40 – +167°F)
C. Plug the SFP modules into the slots if
needed. Connect monitoring ports to the
proper network mirror sources as needed.
