cleaning and maintaining the induction hob
DAILY CLEANING
Warning : Allow all cooking zones to cool down before cleaning the induction hob and activate the child lock before you begin.
Warning: When spilling sugar, immediately clean the hob to prevent the sugar from burning into the surface. Be careful,
the cooking zones can be hot.
Careful: Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, aerosols, abrasive sponges or sharp objects that have not been
developed for this purpose.
1. Lock the hob.
2. Remove spilled food. Use a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent.
3. Clean the appliance daily. Use a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent.
4. Dry the appliance Use kitchen towel for this or a dry tea towel.
5. In case of severe contamination, clean the appliance with a cleaning agent that is specifically suitable for an induction
appliance.
6. When food has been spilled on the control elements, the appliance may give a beep sound and switch off automatically.
Wipe up what has been spilled with a wet cloth and dry the area before you switch the appliance on again.

GENERAL PROCEDURE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Use the troubleshooting table and breakdown codes to find a solution for the problem.
2. If you cannot find a solution, or if the breakdown code keeps returning, contact the Inventum service department.
Breakdown (code)
The induction hob doesn't work, despite
the fact the plug is inserted in the socket.
The hob cannot be activated.
The induction hob stops all of a sudden
during use and the display shows
The display switches on, but the
induction hob does not heat up.
A cooking zone switches off
automatically and the display shows [ H ].
Some pans make a crackling
or clicking noise.
The appliance makes a low
buzzing noise at a high heat setting.
Out of the appliance comes the noise
of the fan.
The glass plate is cracked.
Cause
No power supply.
The control panel is locked by means of the
child lock.
The control panel is covered with dirt or
a thin film of water.
An unsuitable pan is being used.
.
The diameter of the pan used is too small.
The induction hob is too hot.
The maximum cooking time has been
reached.
This can be caused by the structure of the
cookware (layers of different materials
vibrate differently).
This is caused by the technology of cooking
with induction.
A cooling fan has been integrated
in your appliance in order to prevent
the electronics from overheating.
The fan may even continue to run after
switching off the appliance.
Hazard! Switch off the power supply
and remove the plug of the appliance.
Contact the Inventum service department.
What to do
Check that the plug is properly inserted
in the socket and that there is power on
the socket.
Unlock the control panel.
See section 'Locking and unlocking
operation of the appliance'.
Clean the appliance.
See section 'Daily cleaning'.
Use a pan suitable for induction with the
correct diameter (minimum Ø 14 cm).
The ambient temperature can be
too high. Check if the air openings
are blocked.
Switch on the cooking zone again.
This is normal for cookware and does
not indicate an error. Make sure you
are using good cookware that is suitable
for an induction appliance.
This is normal, but the noise should
become less or disappear completely
when you lower the power level.
This is normal and you do not have
to do anything. Do not remove the plug
from the socket while the fan is running.
