    From a computer or mobile device that is connected to the Internet, visit my.netgear.com. Log in to your NETGEAR account. NOTE: If you don’t have a free NETGEAR account, you can create one. The My Products page displays. From the menu on the left, select Register a Product.

    Ethernet surge protector inline between the switch and the outdoor device. Failure to do so can damage the switch. Before connecting this switch to outdoor cables or devices, see kb.netgear.com/000057103 for safety and warranty information.

    (PD) exceed the power budget of the switch, the PD on the high- est-numbered port is disabled. The GS308LP can supply up to 30W PoE+ to each port, with a total maximum PoE power budget of 60W. It can be upgraded to a total maximum PoE budget of 83W or 123W with the purchase of an optional power adapter.

  • Page 7 Change the switch’s PoE budget As an option, you can move the slider on the back of the switch to increase or decrease the PoE budget. You can increase the PoE budget if you purchase a higher wattage power adapter. You also can move the slider to a PoE budget that is lower than the power adapter wattage.

    No. 2 Phillips screwdriver. Leave about 0.15 in. (4 mm) of each screw protruding from the wall so that you can insert the screws into the holes on the bottom panel. NOTE: The GS308LP and GS308PP switch models do not support rack mounting.
