Plotless ignition e/minates the need for a
constant standing pilot light, Each surface
burner has a spark ignitor. Use care when
cleaningaroundthe surfaceburner.
If the surface burnerdoes not light,check if
ignitor is broken,soiledor wet.
BURNER CAP
SETTINGTHE CONTROLS
1, Place a pan on the burner grate. (To
preservethe grate finish,do notoperate
the burnerswithouta pan on the grateto
absorbthe heatfrom the burner flame.)
2, Pushin knoband turn immediately coun-
terclockwiseto the LITE setting.
> A clicking(spark)sound will be heard
and the burnerwill light. (A/ ignitors
wi/spark when anysurfaceburner
knobis turned on. However,only
the selectedburner will light.)
3. Turn knobto desiredsetting.
4. Do not leavecooktopunattended.

Uses
Use HI to bring liquid to a boil,or reachpressure in a pressure
cooker.Alwaysreducesettingto a lowerheatwhenliquidsbegin
to boil or foods begin to cook.
An intermediateflame size is usedto continuecooking.Food
will not cook anyfaster whena higherflame settingis used
than neededto maintaina gentleboil. Water boilsat the same
temperaturewhether boilinggently or vigorously.
LO
Use L0 to simmerfoods, keepfoods warm and melt
chocolateor butter.
Somecookingmay take placeon the LO settingif the pan is
covered. It is possibleto reducethe heatby rotatingthe knob
toward OFF. Be sure flame is stable.
