TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
No fluid flow
Inconsistent
fluid flow
Fluid drools
after the valve
closes,
eventually
stopping
Fluid flows
through
needle but will
not spray
Steady drip
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Fluid pressure is too
low
Needle (tip)
is clogged
Operating pressure
is too low
Valve is not
actuating
Fluid cured in valve

Stroke control

Fluid pressure

Valve operating

Valve opening time is
not consistent
Air trapped in needle

CORRECTION
Increase fluid pressure at
Fluid Reservoir
Replace needle (tip)
Increase air pressure to 70
psi (4.8 bars) at Valve
Controller
Check Valve Controller for
air pressure level to valve
Disassemble and clean
valve thoroughly
Engage by rotating the
Stroke Control Adjustment
Knob counterclockwise
(but not beyond the "Line
Marker")
Make sure fluid pressure is
constant
Increase valve pressure to
70 psi (4.8 bars) at Valve
Controller
Check to make sure the
Valve Controller is
providing a consistent air
pressure output
Purge air from valve
Increase post-spray time at
Valve Controller
Increase atomizing
pressure at Valve
Controller
Tighten retaining nut
Replace with new Needle
(Tip)
Replace worn or damaged
part
Turn Stroke adjustment
cap clock wise until
leaking stop
