NIFTY SD50DE BUCKET LIFT OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS &
Quick Start Guide
The ground control station and platform control station emergency stop buttons
(RED) must be set to "ON" in order to operate this machine. The unlock toggle
must be held down in order to operate any controls.
1.
Starting Unit from Ground Control
- Cold Engine – Turn the main engine ignition switch on (located
beneath the front cover) from "ON" to "GL". This engages the flow
plug pre-heat system. Hold for 3-5 seconds then turn key fully to
"ST" (start) position and the engine will fire.
- Warm Engine – Turn the main engine ignition switch from "ON" to
"ST" and the engine will fire.
2. Starting unit from Basket Control
- Cold Engine - Turn the engine ignition switch to the glow position.
Hold for 3-5 seconds then turn the switch to the start position.
- Warm Engine – Turn the main engine ignition switch to the Start
position
3. Outrigger Controls
- Basket Control – Make sure drive switch is set to basket controls.
Place foot on the pedal and pull outrigger levers backwards to put
them down and push them forward to retract them.
- Driving Controls
- Depress foot switch located on the floor. Use the drive selector on
the basket control to determine speed. Select drive joystick from
the hand lever controls. The drive joystick is located next to the
outrigger controls. Push UP to go forward, pull BACK for reverse,
LEFT to steer left and push RIGHT to steer right.
