New Dell Client Manager Standard (DCM)
Our new cutting-edge software tool for centralized hardware management is available for
download at no charge for Dell OptiPlex customers. Dell Client Manager Standard empowers your
IT department to deploy, manage and troubleshoot Dell client systems across your entire
organization — from a single console — whether the operating system on the target PC is present
or not.
Using DCM's integrated, enterprise-ready management console, IT can:
• Remotely identify, inventory and add computers to the pool of managed resources
• Remotely configure or update the BIOS of multiple computers simultaneously (with or
without an agent)
• Monitor the subsystems of important computers
• Assess need and readiness for a hardware refresh or OS migration
• Automatically send hardware trouble-ticket incident reports to help-desk personnel
• Remotely push the client agent to systems as needed, rather than having the manage
the agent within an image
Secure Remote Power Control
With Alert Standard Format (ASF) 2.0, this added feature enables IT to remotely power up,
power down and recycle systems in order to streamline provisioning, improve software
