    Do not operate your air conditioner in a wet room such as a bathroom or laundry room. Too much exposure to water can cause electrical components to short circuit. • If the air conditioner is used together with burners or other heating devices, thoroughly ventilate the room to avoid oxygen deficiency.     For units that have an auxiliary electric heater, do not install the unit within 3 feet (1 meter) of any combustible materials. • Do not install the unit in a location that may be exposed to combustible gas leaks. If combustible gas accumulates around the unit, it may cause a fire. DURASTAR.COM...
  • Page 6 When the refrigerant sensor malfunctions, the indoor unit will display the error code “FHCC”. The refrigerant sensor can not be repaired and can only be replaced by the manufacturer. It shall only be replaced with the sensor specified by the manufacturer. DURASTAR.COM...

    Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be fit for the purpose and to the correct specification. At all times the manufacturer’s maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If in doubt consult the manufacturer’s technical department for assistance.     The air conditioner’s circuit board (PCB) is designed with a fuse to provide over-current protection. NOTE Your Durastar air conditioner's outdoor unit is equipped with a base pan heater, allowing it to continue to operate at freezing temperatures as low as -22°F (-30°C). When outdoor air temperatures are at or below 32°F (0°C), we strongly recommend keeping the unit plugged in at all times to ensure smooth ongoing performance.
