The hardware devices to be stopped will be
displayed. Highlight the device by clicking on it
then click "Stop."
A confirmation screen will appear to
indicate the devices to be stopped.
Clicking "OK" will stop the device.
A third and final screen will appear
to indicate the camera can be safely
disconnected from the computer.
Close the window, turn the camera
off, and then disconnect the USB
cable.
Macintosh
Confirm that the orange indicator lamp is not lit and
then drag the mass-storage device icon and drop it
into the trash. Turn the camera off, and then
disconnect the USB cable.

Never remove the card when the indicator lamp is orange - the data or
memory card may permanently be damaged.
Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Change the memory card.
3. Turn on the camera to remake the USB connection.
Windows ME, 2000 Professional, and XP
1. Stop the USB connection using the unplug-or-eject-hardware routine (p. 79).
2. Turn off the camera.
3. Change the memory card.
4. Turn on the camera to remake the USB connection.
Macintosh
1. Stop the USB connection by dragging the drive icon into the trash (p. 80).
2. Turn off the camera.
3. Change the memory card.
4. Turn on the camera to remake the USB connection.
