2. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
For operation, maintenance and repairs, all personnel must comply with all procedures / regulations applicable to
equipment for use in hazardous areas.
Once the safety equipment has been serviced or repaired, it must be inspected and approved by a qualified person
(training course) before use.
Do not attempt to start the truck if gas is suspected to be in the area, or there is gas into the enclosures.
Make sure all enclosures are sealed so that safety is maintained at all times.
Be sure that all fork lift drivers, maintenance personnel and mechanics have the necessary training and experience,
or are under the supervision of skilled personnel.
To avoid damage, lift properly, use proper lifting equipment when lifting heavy objects.
Always use the correct tools / measuring instruments for the work.
Write checklists (documentation) of maintenance, when repair work and service being performed
Make sure that all safety system instructions and maintenance instructions are followed closely.
Check that encapsulated components are OK and without any external damage.
Inform Ex-tech System AS immediately if damage occurs to parts of the security system.
Never use water or steam for cleaning. Don't make changes to the security system without permission.
Do not disconnect the plug from the battery in hazardous area
The battery cover must be locked in the correct position while driving in a hazardous area.
Check that the electrically conductive tires are not damaged.
