Loosen (do not remove) the screws in the mating slots (1) on the canopy. Rotate the mount- ing bracket and remove from the canopy.

Make sure the screws are properly tightened and the bracket is secure (not moving at all). Insert downrod into downrod coupling. Make sure to align hole in downrod with the hole in coupling. Install yoke cross pin (2) through yoke and downrod.

Slide the remote receiver into the space above the down rod ball as shown. The canopy has two mating slots (1) and two mating holes (2). Position both slots on canopy directly under and in line with two screws in the mounting bracket (3). Lift the canopy, allowing the two screws to slide into the mating slots.

To make the fan operational, open battery door by pressing and sliding down the battery door. Install two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included) into the hand-held remote transmitter (if not used for long periods of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage to the transmitter).

Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. 2. Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning. This could damage the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause electrical shock.
