  • Page 14 Take the small Blue Male Connector on the end of the Oven Temp Probe and push it into the Blue Female Connection on the back side of the Control Board. Line up the (4) outside holes on the Control Plate to the (4) outside holes on the Grill Body.

    Operating Your Control Plug the Grill into Power. Peel the plastic covering the Control face back to see the screen.
  • Page 16 Push the Bottom Right Power button. Control will come on. When Press Knob to Ignite comes up on the screen, push the Knob. This will start the Fan, Ignitor and Auger Motor. Check to make sure they all work.
  • Page 17 After the knob is pushed to start Ignitor, you may adjust your cooking temp by turning the same knob left or right. The top number in the display is the grill’s set temperature and the bottom number is the actual temperature of the grill.

    Electrical Power Connections The PG1000i uses single phase 120V or 240V power. Connect grill to power supply by plugging the power cord into a standard, 3 prong receptacle that is protected by a breaker rated for 60 Hz and 4 amps.
  • Page 25 4. Always be sure the flame deflector is in place over the fire pot before the power switch is turned to the ON position. 5. Lightly season your grills with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. 6. The interior of your grill needs to be “broken in” or seasoned before you cook your first load of meat.

    The lower the temperature setting the more smoke NOTE: the grill will produce. The top cooking rack will be hotter than the lower grill. The grill is designed to work with the doors closed. Wood Pellet Selection As you progressively learn how to use your pellet grill, you will become more comfortable with choosing the wood pellets you place in the hopper.

    • With an empty fire pot, pour 1/2 cup pellets into the firepot. • Squirt approximately 2 tablespoons of alcohol gel into the fire pot and ignite with a match. Warning: Do not attempt to squirt alcohol gel onto burning embers to further ignite.

    This being stated, the Limited Warranty DOES NOT COVER RUST OR OXIDATION, unless there is a loss of structural integrity on the grill. Cookshack recommends you purchase a Cookshack full length protective cover for your grill when not in use.
