    Safety Summary < Signal Words > l Signal words are used to identify levels of hazard seriousness. Definitions for identifying hazard levels are provided below with their respective signal words. : DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, DANGER will result in death or serious injury.

Failing to follow these instructions can cause capacity shortage and performance degradation, resulting in an electric shock and a fire. l Do not use any sprays such as an insecticide, lacquer or hair spray, or other flammable gases within approximately one (1) meter from the system.

    Before Operation Supply electrical power to the system for approximately 12 hours before start-up after long shutdown. Do not start the system immediately after power supply. It may cause a compressor failure, because the compressor is not heated well. Make sure that the outdoor unit is not covered with snow or ice. If it is covered with snow, remove it by using hot water (approximately 50 C).

Face the transmitter of the controller toward the receiver of the indoor unit and press the switch of the required operation so that commands (by infrared rays) are sent to the indoor unit.

    3.2.4 Installation Method When installing the wireless controller onto a wall or a pillar, fix firmly the holding bracket onto the wall and attach the controller where the receiver can receive the commands.     3.2.6 Optional Function Setting The display range of the wireless controller can be set, following the function to set the indoor unit. ATTENTION: The settings cannot operate correctly even if the functions which cannot set the indoor unit, are set with the wireless controller. Concerning the functions which can set the indoor unit, refer to the operation manual of the indoor unit.
