  • Page 8 Working Theory Induction cooking is a safe, advanced, efficient and economical cooking technology. It works by electromagnetic vibrations generating heat directly in the pan, rather than indirectly through heating the glass surface. The glass becomes hot only because the pan eventually warms it up.

    INSTALLATION WARNING: This cooktop must be installed by a licensed trade professional. Do not attempt to install it yourself.   • Page 10 Caution • The cooktop must not be installed directly above a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, or clothes dryer, as humidity may damage the electronics of the cooktop. • The cooktop should be installed in a way that promotes optimal heat dissipation to enhance its reliability.
  • Page 11 Ventilation • Always ensure the cooktop is well ventilated, that the air inlet and outlet are not blocked, and that the cooktop is in good working order. • Maintain a safe distance of at least 760mm between the hotplate and the cupboard above it.

    • To avoid accidental contact with the overheated bottom of the cooktop or unexpected electrical shocks during operation, it is necessary to install a wooden insert. This insert should be fixed with screws at a minimum distance of 50mm from the bottom of the cooktop.

    OPERATION Touch Controls • The controls respond to touch, so you don’t need to apply any pressure. • Use the ball of your finger, not its tip. • You will hear a beep each time a touch is registered. • Ensure the controls are always clean, dry and that there is no object (e.g. a utensil or a cloth) covering them.
