For Windows Once the driver is installed, connect the cable between the braille embosser and the computer. The braille embosser is now plug and play installed and you will find the Index Basic-D V5 as a printer on your computer. -

Direct-Braille. The file will be sent to your installed braille embosser and printed with the current Braille layout. If you have more than one Index braille embosser installed on your computer, you will see a list of your installed braille embossers. Select the braille embosser you wish to print from. -

Print braille and ink It is possible to print braille and ink on the same paper using Index Basic-D V5 and a laser or inkjet printer. The braille embosser must be connected to a network as the Preview function in the web interface must be used to print both ink and braille. -
