- Page 7 OPERATION - UNFOLDING / FOLDING WHEELCHAIR The OPAL Transit Wheelchair comes folded and requires unfolding prior to use. Please follow these steps: 1. Pull OUT on both of the armrests at the same time to open out the wheelchair. 2. Push down on the outside edges of seat to ensure wheelchair has been fully unfolded.

OPERATION - UNFOLDING / FOLDING BACKREST The OPAL Transit Wheelchair comes with the folded backrest and requires unfolding prior to use. Please follow these steps: 1. Place your hand on the armrest. 2. Rotate up each backrest handle until it locks into position. - Page 9 OPERATION - FIT / REMOVE SWING AWAY FOOTRESTS The OPAL Transit Wheelchair comes with removable adjustable height swing up footrests. Please follow these steps to locate the swing away footrests onto the wheelchair: 1. Position the swing away at 90° to the wheelchair as shown.
