    — Set Up Maximus 100 9405-164 72426 71782B 91144-210 Hitch and Mast Assembly 71772 1. Remove banding and blocking material from disk. Using a safe lifting device rated at a minimum of 1500 lbs., lift disk sub-assembly 9951 from pallet. Remove roll pins and center shaft 9950 (71782B) from disk frame.

    — Set Up Maximus 100 Accessories Blade Scrapers • SHARP EDGES ON THE MACHINE CAN CAUSE INJURY. BE CAREFUL WHEN WORKING AROUND THE MACHINE. Unpack blade scrapers, separate, and identify all components according to page 5-6 of the PARTS section. Determine if scrapers are to be installed for "normal" or "reverse" disking.
  • Page 19 — Set Up Maximus 100 Accessories Blade Scrapers 8. Mount scrapers (806140B) to angle (72977B FIG. 2-5 or 72978B). Secure with 1/2-13UNCx1-3/4 carriage bolts (9388-105), flat washers (9405- 088), lock washer (9404-025) and hex nut (9394-010). 9. Tighten all hardware and torque to speci- fications.

    — Set Up Maximus 100 Accessories Side Shield Side shields (71809B) can be used to prevent vines and branches from becoming entangled in the disk. The shields may be adjusted for height and width and fore/aft position on the disk. Adjust the shields by loosening and removing the 1/2" mounting hardware and setting the shields to the desired location.

    — Set Up Maximus 100 Accessories Blade Extension Kit • SHARP EDGES ON THE MACHINE CAN CAUSE INJURY. BE CAREFUL WHEN WORKING AROUND THE MACHINE. 1. Park the unit on a firm, level surface. Lower the disk until it is fully resting onto a min- imum of two supports rated for 1500 lbs each. Set the vehicle parking brake, shut off the engine and remove the ignition key.

    — Operation Maximus 100 Disk Gang Settings (continued) The MAXIMUS disk gangs may be set at 0, 6, 14, 19, 24, or 29 degrees. The gangs may be rotated forward or rearward to achieve a variety of soil profiles. The gangs may also be moved laterally on the frame, resulting in working widths from 5'3"...

    — Operation Maximus 100 Disk Gang Settings (continued) Gang Angle Adjustment Remove the pin from the radius plate on the gang. Flip the over-center cam handle to un- lock the gang. With the machine lifted slightly off the ground, spin the gang frame to the desired working angle and reinstall the pin.

    — Operation Maximus 100 Operating Maximus Disk 1. Select a gang angle and lower the implement to the ground. Select a groundspeed in the range of 2-5 mph and begin moving forward. It may be necessary to adjust the gang angle, working depth, ground speed, weight, and frame levelness from the initial setting to match ground conditions.
