MAINTENANCE

Lubricate the moving parts only if necessary, with a light appli-
cation of a silicone based lubricant. Always dry the metal parts
to prevent the formation of rust. Do not submerge the carrycot
in water. Routinely wipe clean plastic parts with a soft damp
cloth. To avoid friction, ensure that the locking devices of the
carrycot and pram are free from dust or sand. Do not leave the
product exposed to the sun for a long period of time; it may
cause the fabric to fade.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CARRYCOT
CANOPY
The carrycot has a sun canopy and a windshield that can be
adjusted to different positions.
ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY
1 – Check that the clip at the end of the metal arch (diagram 1
A) is fastened to the buttons on the fabric part. (diagram 1B)
2 – Rotate supports B and C, in the middle of the carrycot, into
a vertical position and insert the two metal ends until they
click into place (diagram 2A); then fit the 4 tabs on the rear
arch into the relative eyelets (diagram 2B).
NB: the hook-on system for the metal ends is inside the plastic
supports B and C, the round button on the supports is only
used to remove the hood (see section 3).
3 – To remove the hood, first extract the 4 tabs from the rear
arch (diagram 3A) and then remove the front arch by pressing
the two round buttons on the supports of the connection base
(diagram 3B).
WARNING: Incorrect removal of the hood can break the tabs.
SUN VISOR
4 – The canopy has an exclusive sun visor. When not in use, the
sun visor can be folded inside the canopy (diagram 4). Inside
the hood, between the visor and the first section, there is a
fabric ring from which you can hang soft toys, with convenient
hooks (figure 4 a).
WARNING – use only Chicco toys with the following code
numbers: 71328, 71329, 71330.
REAR OPENING
5 – To ensure maximum ventilation, the canopy has an adjust-
able rear opening. To adjust the opening, open the zip (diagram
5A) and fold the fabric panel onto the upper part of the canopy
(diagram 5 B).
INTERNAL LINING AND COVER
6 – To fit the internal lining inside the carrycot: slide the plas-
tic strip positioned where the baby's head will lie between the
polystyrene support and the carrycot body; then connect the
two "tabs" where the baby's feet will lie and the side ones un-
der the body rim, as seen in diagram 6A. Fasten the fabric in
place in the centre of where the baby's feet will lie, inserting
the eyelet over the relative hook (diagram 6B) and then close
the two side snap-buttons (diagram 6C). The cover is then fit-
ted using the zip (diagram 6D) and by fastening the side clips
of the fabric to the hood (diagram 6E).
Once it has been fitted, it can be opened from both sides (dia-
gram 6F). To ensure correct airing the cover also has a zipped
opening on the top part (diagram 6G). Once opened complete-
ly, it is possible to roll up the cover inside the practical pocket,
as seen in diagram 6H. Fasten the button in the eyelet to close
the pocket (diagram 6I) then fold it and close with the buttons
(diagram 6L).
ADJUSTABLE BACKREST - COMFORT SYSTEM
7 – The backrest of the carrycot can be adjusted gradually. To
raise or lower the backrest, operate the external rear wheel of
the carrycot, located near the end of the carrycot (diagram 7).
WARNING: It is recommended to ventilate the carrycot after
prolonged use.
CARRY HANDLE
8 - The carrycot has a practical carry handle that can be ad-
justed to three positions (diag. 8):
A) Carrying position
B) Intermediate position
C) Rest position
9 – To position the handle vertically, hold it in a central position
and pull it in an upward direction, until a clack is heard, indi-
cating that it is correctly locked into position (diagram 9a). To
replace the handle in the rest position, press the two buttons
located on the base of the handle at the same time, and then
turn it in a downward direction (diagram 9b).
WARNING: The carrycot cannot be carried with the handle
placed in the intermediate or rest positions, but only with the
handle in the carrying position.
WASHING
The hood, the internal lining of the carrycot and the mattress
are all removable and washable; please follow the washing in-
structions indicated on the labels carefully.
10 – Remove the carrycot hood following the instructions in
section 3; undo the buttons on the fabric (diagram 10A) then
remove the metal arch only, by pulling one end (diagram 10B);
do not remove the rear arch with the 4 tabs when washing.
11 - Remove the padding from the mattress from the opening
on the back of the lining (diagram 11).
12 – To remove the internal lining from the carrycot, undo the
side buttons (diagram 12A), slide the eyelet from the hook
(diagram 12B) remove the plastic strip from the area where the
baby's head will lie, the "tabs" in the area where the baby's feet
will lie and the side ones from the body rim (diagram 12C)

the "Clik Clak" system and used as a pram.
