Making a X % Brix Standard Solution
• Place container on an analytical balance.
• Tare the balance.
• Weigh out X grams of high-purity sucrose
(CAS #: 57-50-1) directly into the container.
• Add distilled or DI water to total 100 g solution.

Brief Operational Overview
• Rotate the back cover (1) counterclockwise to open.
• Insert the supplied battery (2).
• Replace the cover and turn clockwise to close.
• Press to power the instrument on.
READ ZERO
• Calibrate  Using a pipette, completely cover the
prism in the sample well (3) with distilled or DI water.
Press .
ZERO
• Measure  Using a pipette, drip sample onto the
prism surface until the well is full.
Press to display the result.
