To ensure that your MEDISANA MP 815 provides successful results for a long time, we recommend that you read carefully through the following notes on its use and care.
Scope of delivery and packaging
Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your supplier or your service centre.

Special points concerning the device
- The MEDISANA MP 815 manicure/pedicure unit is easy to use and perfect for caring for your hands, feet and nails. It is particularly suitable for treating ingrown, thickened and very tough nails and also for treating calluses, rough skin and corns. It is also suitable for the cosmetic care of hands, nails and synthetic nails.
- The sapphire heads have an extremely long life and virtually never wear out.
- Do not soften the skin on hands and feet prior to treatment.

Why are there so many attachments
Each head is designed to solve a particular problem for the hands and feet and therefore especially effective and safe in use.
Can several people use one device?
Yes. But in any case it is best that each person has its own set of the accessory heads to prevent the transmission of skin diseases.

ON/OFF switch ![]()
To turn on the device, move the switch in one of the two possible directions. Turn the switch downwards (clockwise rotation, function indicator
lights up in green) or turn the switch upwards (counter-clockwise rotation, function indicator
lights up in red) with clockwise rotation. To turn off the device, move the switch in middle position (O).

The MP 815 features two different rotation speed levels (level 1 and level 2). After switching on the device, the rotation starts with lower speed (level 1). Press on button
to increase the rotation speed. Press
to decrease the rotation speed (level 1) - Start each application with low rotation speed and increase the rotating speed to suit your individual requirements.
Changing the attachments ![]()
The device is equipped with a hexagonal holder for the attachments. Switch the unit off. To change the attachments, first pull off the part that is not required. Place the new attachment in the holder and turn slightly until it clicks into position.
Pedicure and Manicure
The purpose of application for the attachments (in sequence of the illustration):
Sapphire cone
: To remove dry hard skin.
Felt cone
: To smooth the edges of the nail and to polish the nail surface.
Sapphire disk, rough
, fine
: For shortening nails by filing in the growth direction. Hold the unit firmly, run the nail along the disk. Only file in one direction!
Cylindrical burr
: To remove hardened nail surfaces.
Flame burr
: To carefully remove in-growing nails.
Callus remover
: For large-scale and rapid removal of thick hardened skin or calluses on the sole or heel of your foot.
Creaming afterwards and regular care with the MEDISANA MP 815 contributes to well-cared for hands and feet with soft skin and firm nails with a stable structure.
Miscellaneous
Cleaning and maintenance
- Always pull the mains adapter out of the socket in the case of an electrical unit.
- Never use strong cleaning agents or stiff brushes.
- Clean the unit with a soft cloth which has been lightly moistened with a mild soap. Never dip the unit into water for cleaning and ensure that no water gets into the unit at any time. Only use the unit again, when it is fully dry.
- For hygiene reasons, all attachments may be cleaned with a brush (e.g. old toothbrush). It is also advisable to disinfect the grinding surfaces with commercially available spray disinfectant or 90% alcohol to prevent the transmission of infections. The pins of the attachments should be kept free from grease. First allow the heads to dry off completely before you use them again on the unit.
- Store the device in a dry, cool place.
- Fold up the power cable carefully to avoid cable breaks.

- Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
- Only use this unit according to the intended purpose and as directed in the instruction manual.
- The device is not intended for commercial use.
- Do not use any auxiliary parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer.
- Avoid contact with pointed or sharp objects. The warranty is null and void if it is not used for the intended purpose.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself in the event of any defects. Not only does this render the warranty null and void but you can also run the risk of serious hazards (fire, electric shock, injury). Only have repairs carried out by authorised service points. - Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.
- Only connect the mains adapter when the unit is switched off.
- Do not reach for the unit if it has fallen into water. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket immediately.
- Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces and naked flames.
- Never use the unit in rooms in which aerosols (sprays) are being used or where pure oxygen is being administered.
- Never use the unit if the power cable has been damaged, the mains adapter is defective, if the unit does not work perfectly, if it has fallen into water or has been damaged.
- Never carry, pull or rotate the unit by the mains cable and never pinch the cable between other objects.
- Do not allow the unit to become overheated due to excessively long use.
- Uninterrupted treatment should not last longer than 15 minutes. Then switch off the unit for at least half an hour and allow it to cool down.
- Only pull the plug out of the socket when you have dry hands, when the unit has been switched off and is not being used any longer, and also do this when you have to replace or clean the heads.
- Do not use any electrical equipment while in the bath or shower. Do not store or keep any electrical equipment in places where it could fall into the bathtub or washbasin.
- The mains cable of the device need to be laid in a way, that the risk of stumbling or strangulation is completely excluded.
