  • Page 6 3 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION Create a folder on the desktop of your PC. Copy the installation software NOD Print Vision-  Setup.exe from the delivered USB stick to the folder. Run the installation software and follow the instructions.  Key COM must be set to COM3 and click ”Reconnect“. If the connection will not be confirmed you have to try COM4 or COM5 in the selection.
  • Page 7 4 CAMERA CALIBRATION CAMERA ADJUSTMENT The control box must be connected to a power supply and connected to the PC via USB cable.  The camera must also be connected to the PC via USB 3.0 to a USB 3.0 port. ...
  • Page 8  Remove the paper. The camera view must be aligned parallel and centered to the platen. Adjust the camera position:   Adjustment by moving the camera adapter. Adjustment by moving the boom bracket.   667mm Adjustment by moving the adapter at the column. The required distance between platen and came- ra lens is 667 mm, when the platen height is set on Level B.
  • Page 9  The camera view must be aligned parallel and centered to the platen. This image shows the best result of adjustment. The Y tolerance is +/- 5 mm. The X tolerance is +/- 2 mm. If the setting does not reach the the required position, you have to adjust the camera more precisely.
  • Page 10  Insert the password “ndlbt1” and click OK.  Place the calibration mask on the platen. The black image has to be shown clear and can be adjusted by ”Exposure” and ”Light” function. The centre point of the mask should match to the red circle on the screen. The black triangle should match to the red triangle line.

  • Page 17 PIXEL RATIO AND OFFSET CORRECTION  Click “Calibration”.  Insert ther password “ndlbt”.  Place a sheet of white paper flat on the platen. Click “Create Rectangular Image”. If error 1401 is displayed, check the connection between PC and the printer and driver version.

  • Page 19  When the black rectangle is printed click: 1. “Calculate Camera Angle and Pixel Ratio” and confirm. 2. “Save Camera Angle and Pixel Ratio” and confirm. 3. “Calculate Camera Center Coordinates” and confirm. 4. “Save Camera Center Coordinates” and confirm. If one action does not work, please repeat “Pixel ratio and offset correction”.
  • Page 20  Place a white sheet of paper on the platen. Click 5 times “TestImage-C”.  Place the blue squares like shown above.  1. Click “Print” then select ink ”0:Color Ink”. 2. Set ”Double Printing” to 0 and click PRINT. 3.When the image is sent to the printer press the green print button at the printer.
  • Page 21  Open ”Custom Print” again. Click 5 times “TestImage-R”. Place the red squares over the blue squares.  Zoom to each red square (mouse wheel) and place it exactly over the blue square by using the arrows on the keyboard. Click “Print”. ...
  • Page 22 1. The squares on the paper should be black.  Acceptable deviation of the red squares is 0.2 mm. 2. If the print result is not exact you have to restart from “Pixel ratio and offset correction”(4.5). The “Calibration result verfication test” (4.5) has to be done every day before starting production. REASONS THAT REQUIRE A NEW CALIBRATION Any change in the adjustment of the camera bracket.
