Dennoch sehen wir uns veran- laßt, Sie mit folgenden Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut zu machen: Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung • Das Kältegerät ist für die Verwendung im Haushalt bestimmt. Es eignet sich zum Kühlen, Einfrieren und Tiefkühllagern von Lebens-mitteln sowie zur Eisbereitung.

Spraydosen, Feuerzeug-Nachfüllkartu- schen etc. im Kältegerät. • Flaschen und Dosen dürfen nicht in den Gefrierraum. Sie können sprin- gen, wenn der Inhalt gefriert - bei kohlensäurehaltigem Inhalt sogar explodieren! Legen Sie nie Limonaden, Säfte, Bier, Wein, Sekt usw.

Page 11 Temperaturanzeige Die Temperaturanzeige kann mehrere Informationen anzeigen. • Bei normalem Betrieb wird die Temperatur angezeigt, die momentan im Kühlraum vorhanden ist (IST-Temperatur). • Während der Temperatureinstellung wird blinkend die im Moment einge- stellte Kühlraumtemperatur angezeigt (SOLL-Temperatur). Inbetriebnahme - Temperatur einstellen Netzstecker in die Steckdose stecken.
Page 12 von 6 Stunden wird die COOLMATIC-Funktion selbsttätig beendet. Die ursprünglich eingestellte SOLL-Temperatur ist dann wieder maßgebend. und die Temperaturanzeige zeigt die momentane Kühlraumtemperatur. Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste COOLMATIC kann die COOLMATIC-Funk- tion jederzeit manuell beendet werden. Die gelbe Anzeige erlischt.. Urlaubsschaltung Bei der Urlaubsschaltung beträgt die Temperaturvorgabe für den Kühlraum +15 °C.
Page 13 Variable Innentür Je nach Erfordernis können die Abstellfächer der Kühlraumtür nach oben herausgenommen und in andere Aufnahmen umgesetzt werden. Feuchteregulierung Vor der Abstellfläche über den Obst- und Gemüseschalen befindet sich bei einigen Modellen ein verstellbares Lüftungsgitter. Die Öffnung der Lüf- tungsschlitze kann mit einem Schieber stufenlos reguliert werden.
Page 14 Richtig lagern Um die besten Leistungen des Kühlschrankes zu erreichen, beachten Sie bitte folgendes: • Keine warmen Speisen oder Flüssigkeiten in den Kühlschrank einstellen. • Geruchverbreitende Lebensmittel sollten abgedeckt oder eingewickelt werden. • Die Lebensmittel müssen so eingelagert werden, daß die Luft frei zirkulie- ren kann.
Page 15 Tasten zur Temperatureinstellung Die Temperatureinstellung erfolgt durch die Tasten I und K. Die Tasten stehen in Verbindung mit der Temperaturanzeige. • Durch Druck auf eine der beiden Tasten I oder K wird die Temperaturanzei- ge von der IST-Temperatur (Temperaturanzeige leuchtet) auf die SOLL-Tem- peratur (Temperaturanzeige blinkt) umgeschaltet.
Page 16 Gewünschte Temperatur durch Drücken der Tasten I und K einstellen (siehe Abschnitt "Tasten zur Temperatureinstellung"). Die Temperaturanzeige zeigt sofort die geänderte Einstellung an. Mit jedem Tastendruck wird die Tem- peratur um 1°C weitergestellt. Aus ernährungswissenschaftlicher Sicht ist -18°C für den Gefrierraum als ausreichend kalte Lagertemperatur anzusehen.
Page 17 Gerät abschalten Zum Abschalten drücken die Taste ON/OFF . Die Temperaturanzeige erlischt. Hinweis: Die Einstellung des Geräts kann bei gezogenem Netzstecker oder fehlender Stromversorgung nicht geändert werden. Nach Anschluß an das Stromnetz nimmt das Gerät wieder den Zustand an, den es bei Netzunterbrechung hatte. Soll das Gerät für längere Zeit außer Betrieb genommen werden: Schalten das Gerät ab (bitte sehen den oben genannten 1.
Page 18 Einfrieren und Tiefkühllagern Im Gefrierraum können Sie Tiefkühlkost lagern und frische Lebensmittel einfrieren. Achtung! • Vor dem Einfrieren von Lebensmitteln muß die Temperatur im Gefrier- raum -18 °C oder kälter sein. • Bitte das auf dem Typschild angegebene Gefriervermögen beachten. Das Gefriervermögen ist die maximale Menge an frischer Ware, die innerhalb von 24 Stunden eingefroren werden kann.
Page 19 Eiswürfel bereiten Eiswürfelschale zu 3/4 mit kaltem Wasser füllen, in den Gefrierraum stellen und gefrieren lassen. Zum Herauslösen der fertigen Eiswürfel die Eiswürfelschale verwinden oder kurz unter fließendes Wasser halten. Achtung! Eine eventuell angefrorene Eiswürfelschale keinesfalls mit spitzen oder scharfkantigen Gegenständen ablösen, sonst besteht die Gefahr, daß der Kältekreislauf beschädigt wird.
Page 20 Abtauen Kühlraum Die Rückwand des Kühlraums bereift, während der Kompressor läuft, und taut vollautomatisch ab, wärend der Kompressor stillsteht. Das Tauwasser wird in der Ablaufrinne an der Rückwand des Kühlraumes aufgefangen, durch das Ablaufloch in die Auffangschale am Kompressor geleitet und dort verdunstet. Gefrierraum Im Gefrierraum schlägt sich während des Betriebs und beim Öffnen der Tür Feuchtigkeit als Reif nieder.

It is suitable for the coo- ling, freezing and storing of frozen food, as well as for making ice.
Page 28 Daily Operation • Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures. There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers with flamma- ble materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extinguisher refill car- tridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.
Page 29 Disposal of old Appliances For environmental reasons, refrigeration appliances must be disposed of properly. This applies to your old appliance, and - at the end of its service life - for your new appliance as well. Warning! Before disposing of old appliances make them inoperable. Remo- ve plug from mains, sever the power cable, remove or destroy any snap or latch closures.

Page 39 FROSTMATIC The FROSTMATIC function accelerates the freezing of fresh food and, at the same time, protects foodstuffs already stored from undesirable warming. The FROSTMATIC function is switched on by pressing the FROSTMATIC but- ton. The yellow light illuminates. If the FROSTMATIC function is not ended manually, the appliance turns off the FROSTMATIC function after about 52 hours.
Page 40 Freezing and storing frozen food You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself. Important! • The temperature in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before freezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The free- zing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen within a period of 24 hours.
Page 41 Preparation of Ice Cubes Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water, place it in the freezer com- partment and leave to freeze. To loosen the frozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tray or hold it under running water for a few seconds.
Page 42 Defrosting Refrigerator Frost is automatically eliminated from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, over the motor compressor, where it evaporates. Freezer The freezer compartment, however, will become progrssively covered with frost.
Page 43 Cleaning and Care For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly. Warning! • The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Dan- ger of electrical shock!
