- Page 4 The filter can be installed in both ways, gravity or pump fed setup. The RDF 30 PRO V2 has three inlets and two outlets. Water enters the filter at the front and flows through the drum. The drum is equipped with a filter panel that filters small and large particles out of the water.

- Page 7 3. Filter installation In this manual, we show you how to install the RDF 30 PRO V2 on a pond/fish tank, but the fil- ter is suitable for almost all fresh and saltwater applications. If you plan to install this system in a way that deviates significantly from the recommendations in this user manual, allow a specialist to inspect the installation to ensure that all technical specifications have been met.
- Page 8 Before you start with the installation, you need to know how you want to install your drum filter. The RDF 30 PRO V2 can be used for both gravity and pump fed installations. On the following pages, we show four drawings illustrating how the drum filter can be installed, two with a pump fed installation and two with a gravity fed installation.

- Page 10 Aqua Exclusive Installation 6. Gravity fed installation In a gravity-fed installation, the filter is partially below the water level. The pump is placed at the end of the filter line and pumps water from the filter back to the pond/tank or to a bio filter (See figure 8 and 9).

- Page 12 Aqua Exclusive Water Level Sensor 7. Water level sensor The water level sensor measures the water level and sends a signal to the control box when the filter panel needs to be cleaned. The location of the sensor depends on whether you have a pump fed or a gravity fed installation.
- Page 13 Aqua Exclusive Cleaning Process 8. Cleaning process The drum is equipped with a filter panel that filters small and large particles out of the water. As soon as the filter panel is saturated, the water sensor will register this and the automatic cleaning process will be activated.
- Page 14 Aqua Exclusive Controlbox 9. Controlbox Mount the drum filter control box on a wall or fence and connect all cables to the corre- sponding connectors on the bottom of the control box. Check figure 12 and 13 for the details.
- Page 15 Aqua Exclusive Maintenance 10. Maintenance We advice checking your filter system at least once a month. During maintenance, the power supply must be disconnected. 10.1 Bypass activation The filter is equipped with a bypass system, consisting of 4 holes with blue caps in the first chamber.
