  • Page 4 Series Quick Start Guide Introduction cMT = Control and Monitor. The cMT series of products are programmable operator interfaces that can be accessed on the Local Area Network (LAN) via Wi-Fi and Ethernet devices with the free cMT Viewer application.
  • Page 5 Series Quick Start Guide cMT-SVR Models The cMT-SVR models are human-machine interfaces (HMI) without built-in display. cMT-SVR devices are configured with EasyBuilder Pro and store the screens and related logic in a small DIN rail mountable form factor. The programmed screens can be viewed externally over the LAN with the cMT Viewer application.
  • Page 6 Series Quick Start Guide Connecting the cMT-iV5 display to a cMT server device The cMT-iV5 is initially configured to “Obtain IP address automatically.” In order for it to connect to a cMT device directly without a switch, you must go into the Settings window of the cMT-iV5 and configure it with a static IP address.

  • Page 8 Series Quick Start Guide Ethernet 1 is a WAN port. Select Obtain IP Address Automatically to configure the port for DHCP; or specify the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS addresses. Click the Save button to save changes to the IP settings.
  • Page 9 Series Quick Start Guide Date/Time Configuration The Date/Time page allows you to set the local date and time on the cMT device. Set the date and time from the calendar and clock objects, or check the Sync with host box to set the cMT device to the same date and time as the PC.
  • Page 10 Series Quick Start Guide HMI Identification The HMI Name page identifies the cMT device. A unique name can be assigned to the cMT device. This name will be available in the EasyBuilder Pro software to provide another method (in addition to the IP address) for identifying which unit is being configured.
  • Page 11 Series Quick Start Guide Historical Data Files The History page allows the clearing and retrieving of historical data stored on the cMT device. On the Clear tab, check the boxes for the history files to be deleted. Then click the Clear button to delete the data.

  • Page 19 (.emtp).  The cMT series has 2 new Local address types, PLW and PLB. While connected display devices share the LW and LB addresses, the PLW and PLB address types are unique for each display device. The PLW and PLB addresses reside in the display device, not in the cMT server.

Network Connection Most cMT models are equipped with 2 separate Ethernet connections. Ethernet 1 is a WAN port, and allows connection across a gateway to another network.

  • Page 22 Series Quick Start Guide cMT Viewer cMT Viewer is an application that runs on a Windows PC or tablet, and on Apple iOS (v6 or later) and Android (v4.1 or later) devices. The cMT Viewer application connects to and interacts with the project in the cMT server device.
  • Page 23 Series Quick Start Guide Settings Menu Touch the ‘gear’ icon at the top right part of the screen to open the Settings menu. The ‘closed’ padlock on the Setting tab indicates that security is in place, and only the System password can be changed.
  • Page 24 Series Quick Start Guide To change settings such as the Date/Time, IP information, and the unit name, you must log in with the System password. Press the ‘closed’ padlock icon on the Setting tab. Enter the System password and press OK.

  • Page 31 Series Quick Start Guide Monitor Mode Monitor Mode was created to enable real-time viewability of values using the cMT Viewer program. Monitor Mode is only available in the PC version of cMT Viewer. Monitor Mode is off by default, but is be easily enabled.
  • Page 32 Series Quick Start Guide Enabling Monitor Mode Visualization in cMT Viewer To enable Monitor Mode in the cMT Viewer application: 1. From the main cMT Viewer window, enter the Settings menu. 2. Select the “closed lock” icon and enter the System Password (default is 111111).

  • Page 35 Series Quick Start Guide Update cMT-iV5 OS and/or Firmware The Utility Manager included with EasyBuilder Pro includes a mechanism to update the cMT-iV5 operating system and/or firmware. Updating of the cMT-iV5 operating system (OS) is not normally something that needs to be done by the end user. However, in certain situations, updates in the field may be necessary.
  • Page 36 Series Quick Start Guide Enter the correct IP address for the cMT-iV5. With Runtime (firmware) selected, click the Update button to update the firmware. The utility will locate the proper firmware file and transfer it to the cMT-iV5. Note: Please do not attempt to update the Operating System (OS) without first contacting Maple Systems Technical Support.
