Plug in the device
Take the power adaptor that came packaged with the device and plug in into the DC input port, then take the the adapter and plug in into your wall outlet.
Download the Google Home app
All of the settings and controls during the setup process are carried out through the Google Home app, so you'll need to download it to your phone or tablet.
On iOS and on Android™ devices it is on Google Play:
Google Assistant is not available in certain languages and countries.
Connecting with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home App
Scan the QR code to download and install the app.
You will be directed to the connection setup page if the app is installed already. Or search for "Mi Home/Xiaomi Home" in the app store to download and install it.
Open the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, tap "+" on the upper right, and then follow the instructions to add your device.
* The app is referred to as Xiaomi Home app in Europe (except for Russia). The name of the app displayed on your device should be taken as the default.
Note: The version of the app might have been updated, please follow the instructions based on the current app version.
Infrared Devices Setup
To open the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, check the applicable device categories and product brand, then follow the on-screen steps to finish the infrared devices setup.

Talking to your device
The Xiaomi Smart Speaker (IR Control) has Google Assistant. Just say "Ok Google" to get started, and get more done at home, hands-free.
Using voice command or App to connect Bluetooth
You can play music that's stored on your mobile device (phone or tablet) or computer on your Xiaomi Smart Speaker (IR Control) using Bluetooth. This includes music iTunes, Audible, Apple Music, and personal playlists.
Step 1. Pair your mobile device and speaker.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold the tile of the device you want to pair.
- Tap Settings > Audio > Paired Bluetooth devices > Enable Pairing Mode.
Step 2. Connect your mobile device and speaker.
- Using your mobile device
- Open Bluetooth settings on your mobile device.
- Under "Available devices," tap the speaker you paired to your mobile device.
- Using your voice
- Connect: Say "Ok Google" or "Hey Google", then say "Connect" or "Connect to Bluetooth"
- Disconnect: Say "Ok Google" or "Hey Google", then say "Disconnect" or "Disconnect Bluetooth"

Note: Your mobile device will stay connected to your speaker until you disconnect.
Step 3. Manage paired and connected devices.
- Check which mobile device is paired with your device.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right, tap Settings > Audio > Paired Bluetooth devices.
- You'll find your mobile device and the date it was paired.
- Unpair mobile device and your speaker.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold the tile of the device you want to unpair.
- At the top right, tap Settings > Audio > Paired Bluetooth devices.
- Tap the "X" next to the device you want to unpair.

Mi Home/Xiaomi Home setup:
Press and hold for 5 seconds. This action will reset your device in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, and you can set it up as new.
Adjust the digital clock brightness:
Triple-press, then press volume up/down to adjust.
