INSTALLATION

TANK VERSION


Open the hatch and remove the tank.


Wash the tank with soap and water and then fill it with water (H2O<6F total hardness).


Make sure the outside of the tank is dry and reinsert it correctly.

DIRECT CONNECTION VERSION


Open the hatch and remove the pipe for direct connection.


Connect the pipe to the water line (H2O<6F total hardness and pressure between 2 and 4 bar) and open the tap.


Make sure that the drip tray is properly inserted.

SWITCH ON


Switch on the machine using the main switch on the bottom right.


Wait 15 minutes.


The machine is ready to operate.

PROGRAM COFFEE DOSES


Press and hold the two espressos button for 5 seconds to enter in the dose programming menu.


The one coffee and two espressos buttons start to flash.

SINGLE AND DOUBLE


SINGLE DOSE. Insert the single filter (7-9 grams for single espresso).


Press the single espresso dispensing button and wait for dispensing to start. Once the desired quantity is reached, press the button again.


DOUBLE DOSE. Insert the double filter (14-18 grams for two espressos).


Press the double espresso dispensing button and wait for dispensing to start. Once the desired quantity is reached, press the button again.


To exit programming and store the desired dose, press the double espresso dispensing / programming button for 5 seconds.

HOW TO MAKE COFFEE


Place the cups on the drip tray.


Press the one dose button to make a single espresso.


Press the double espresso button to make a double espresso.

HOW TO FROTH THE MILK


Place the jug with fresh milk under the steam wand.


Press the steam lever to heat the milk.


When the desired temperature is reached, press the lever again

HOW TO CLEAN THE MACHINE

STEAM WAND

After using the steam wand, purge the wand to remove milk.

Then, clean it thoroughly with a soft cloth.

BODY


Remove the drip tray.


Clean it with hot water and detergent products.


Clean all the external surfaces using a soft, damp cloth.

THE GROUP

Clean the group at least once a day


Replace the filter with the blind filter. (not included in the accessories kit)


Put the manufacture's recommended dose of specific detergent powder into blind filter.


Engage the filter holder to the group.


Press the single or double espresso button and make at least 5 brewings of 5 seconds each.


Then, remove the detergent and make 5 brewings of 5 seconds each to wash the group.


At the end of the procedure, replace the blind filter with the normal one.

SHOWER SCREEN-DIFFUSER-GROUP BASE

Clean the coffee-holder once a week


Turn the screw positioned in the centre of the diffuser and shower.


Place the screw, the diffuser and the shower in a container with hot water with specific detergent


Clean the group base with a brush.

HFILTERS AND FILTERS-HOLDERS

Clean once a week


Remove the filter from the filter-holder.


Insert the manufacturer's recommended dose of specific detergent in a container with hot water.


Immerse the filter and filter-holder (be careful not to also immerse the handle) in the container. Wait at least 30 minutes.


Rinse abundantly with running water.


Place the filter back in the filter-holder.

PROBLEM FOUND POSSIBLE CAUSES

The machine does not switch on with the keyboard completely off*
*grain machines generally have an LED
near the power button: if off, this means that the machine has no voltage
  1. Machine not connected to the mains.
  1. Socket reset switch tripped.
  1. No electrical voltage on the socket.

The machine does not prepare the espresso

  1. Machine off (see point 1)
  1. Check if the empty tank light is on or if the tank is not inserted correctly
  1. If both the resistance and tank lights are ready, is the coffee too fine or too heavily pressed?
  1. Are the sprayhead or the filter holder clogged?
  1. When trying to dispense without coffee, does little or no water come out? A good flow is the flow of water without coffee that fills a standard coffee cup in about 10 seconds.
  1. If a descaling cycle has been carried out, some limescale residues may have come off, clogging the unit valve.
  1. Sprayheads and filter holders require cleaning.

Abnormal dispensing: e.g. coffee that "runs/ drips /cream not compact/ bubbly"
  1. Wrong filter arm use.
  1. The coffee has not been pressed properly or the coffee is not fresh.
  1. You hear the pump starting but no coffee comes out except in drops.
SOLUTION OUTCOME
Connect the machine to the electrical mains.
Try to connect another device to check the presence of power supply: If another device is working then there is a machine problem.
Try plugging in another socket.
Connect the machine to the electrical mains.
Fill the container or check if the tank is correctly positioned at the bottom.
Try reducing the dose to the level of the filter holder or changing the grind.
Clean the sprayhead and the filter holder.
Perform complete descaling and consider replacing with lighter water.
Try to open and close the coffee valve repeatedly, about twenty times. If it does not clear, contact TSC.
Clean the sprayheads by washing with the blind filter and dismantle the filter holders for cleaning.
Check you are using the correct filter: shallower single filter for single dose and deeper double filter for double dose.
Pay attention to pressing or change the coffee pack.
Perform complete descaling and consider replacing with lighter water.
PROBLEM FOUND POSSIBLE CAUSES
4 The machine is leaking water from the unit during dispensing
  1. Clean the gasket area and the filter holder with a cloth
  1. Check the correct positioning of the filter inside the arm

The coffee is not hot enough

  1. The filter holder is cold.
  1. The cups are cold.
  1. The machine has not warmed up enough.
  1. The coffee was not pressed correctly.
  1. The heater safety thermo fuse has tripped.

The water light is on

  1. Put water in the tank.
  1. If the tank is full, but the light remains on.
  1. Check if limescale is preventing the sensor from floating properly. The inside of the tank is rough to the touch due to encrustations

The machine does not fill with water

  1. The stop valve of the tank is blocked.
  1. The pump tank connection pipe is empty.
SOLUTION OUTCOME
Reposition the filter.
The filter holder must always be left in the machine during heating.
You may want to put the cups on the cup holder or preheat them.
Wait for the resistance light to go out.
Check by pressing properly.
Machine replacement.
Check if it is fitted properly.
Clean the water container thoroughly, consider using lighter water.
Check if the valve at the bottom of the tank is blocked. Try moving it with a sharp object.
Remove and insert the tank several times all the way down quickly as the pump tries to draw water.
