Guide for Installation of Thruster Cowls MC_0072 Sleipner cowls allow for increased flexibility in the thruster installation location. Specifi cally, they redirect the propeller’s water flow to avoid obstructions on the stern, such as trim tabs, jets, or other propulsion systems. In addition, they reduce surface air entering the tunnel, allowing for shallow installations and allowing for installations in boats with shallow drafts. -

SX Thruster Assembly Installation MC_0442 CAUTION For installations in high corrosive environments (saltwater) the exposed aluminium parts of the thruster must be coated with an epoxy primer before antifouling or/and use. Defi ne the location to install the thruster. (NB: Ensure the thruster cables internally do not obstruct any objects. Do not place cables or control box close to high heat radiating parts EG. - Page 8 SX Thruster Assembly Installation MC_0442 Insert both Backing plates to the upper and lower threaded bolt rods on the SX housing. CAUTION It is important that the thruster assembly sits flush on the transom. If necessary the hull may require modifi cation to achieve the assembly sits flush.

Propeller Installation MC_0018 Centre the drive pin and insert the propeller onto the shaft spine. Rotate the propeller until the drive pin aligns with the internal slot in the propeller. Insert the washer and tighten the propeller lock-nut to secure the propeller. Insert the anode into the propeller and tighten the anode holding screw. -

Sleipner offers both manual main switches and Automatic Main Switches (AMS). Sleipner AMS is controlled by the control panel in addition to the option of manual operation. Turning on the control panel does also turn on the AMS. -
