    10 Getting started and installation 10.1 Inserting the batteries Slide the radiator thermostat cover off the thermostat (1) towards the valve drive (A). Insert two AA/Mignon batteries (not included) with the correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-, see imprint in the battery compartment) (2). This will start the thermostat’s operating system. The display lights up, and the servomotor returns to the home position. While the motor is moving, the display shows “InS” with a rotating icon “ ”. When the display shows “AdA”, the start-up is complete. Replace the cover of the radiator thermostat (3).

    10.3 Mounting the device on a M30 x 1.5 mm standard valve You can fit the thermostat directly to the valve if you are using a standard radiator valve with a thread size of M30 x 1.5 mm. Firstly, check the valve pin to see if it can be moved easily (4). You should be able to press it in about 2.5 to 3 mm. When the pin is pressed in, the valve is closed.

    10.4 Using the adaptors provided This chapter is devoted solely to the installation of adaptors. Otherwise, the procedure is identical to that described in chapter 10.3 “Mounting the device on a M30 x 1.5 mm standard valve”. First, check whether you can move the valve pin (4). The thermostat installation process is the same in all cases.

    10.4.2 Danfoss RAV valve Push the longest plastic pin provided onto the pin of the radiator valve (9). The outer edge of the valve housing has elongated notches. These notches ensure that the adaptor sits correctly when fitted. Fit the adaptor completely, ensuring that the ridge on the adaptor is aligned with the notch on the valve (7).     10.4.3 Danfoss RA valve Set the built-in preset thermostat controller to the maximum value “N” (11). The outer edge of the valve housing has elongated notches.     10.4.4 Using the two plastic pins The following situations may occur due to the dimensional and installation tolerances of the heating valve: The thermostat malfunctions and the error code “F2” is displayed. The heating valve cannot be fully closed, and the radiator is always hot. If any of these two situations occur, proceed as follows: Screw the thermostat off the heating valve.

    11.3 Main page of the app This section provides a brief overview of the controls on the main page of the app. Opens a small menu in which you can select the profile or family. This option allows you to switch directly to family management. Switches to the display of the respec- tive room.

    11.4 Configuring the product For configuration via Wi-Fi, ensure your smartphone and the Wi-Fi camera are connected to the same network. Important: Please note that only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported. The Wi-Fi signal must be stable at the place of installation. If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, make sure you use a Wi-Fi repeater to improve signal quality. The thermostat must be installed, and the following information must be displayed (see screenshot). If not, remove the batteries for a few seconds and repeat the initial setup. You can add a new device manually by tapping “+” (A14) on the top right of the app’s main page and selecting the device you want to add.

When the prompt regarding the indicator light appears, tap the “Blink Slowly” button on the left. In the next steps, you will learn how to connect your smartphone to the thermostat’s Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • Page 18 The app will search for the new device and complete the setup. This can take several minutes. When setup is complete, the display should look like the right- hand screenshot. If anything went wrong, repeat the process. Tapping on the pencil icon opens a window in which you can as- sign a unique name to the new device.

    11.5 Basic operation/configuration in the app 11.5.1 Thermostat configuration/control page Tapping on the device on the app’s main page opens the page with advanced functions and settings. You can delete the device from the app by tapping on the device on the main page until the delete button appears on the display below.

    11.5.2 Thermostat settings page (B5) Use the arrow to return to the main page of the respective device. Tapping on the pencil icon at the top right opens the app settings of the device again. Same as B16. Comfort temperature settings menu. Simply tap the button, select the desired tem- perature and confirm your selection.

    12 Configuration/operation using the thermostat and the app 12.1 Automatic mode In automatic mode, the temperature control depends on the preset heating profile. Any manual changes remain active until the next profile change. Then, the preset heating profile will be reactivated. Default temperatures: +17 °C and +21 °C Time range: 12:00 a.m. - midnight, increment: 10 minutes Temperature range: +5 to +30 °C, increment: 0.5 °C 12.1.1 Activating automatic mode with the thermostat Press the rotary button (G) until the display shows the house icon 12.1.2 Activating automatic mode in the app Open the mode settings menu by tapping the B7 button on the thermostat control page.

    12.3 Holiday mode Holiday mode is ideal if you are not at home and want to switch off the radiators briefly or for a longer period of time. When in holiday mode, the radiators are activated automatically with the preset temperature and at the preset time. Temperature range: +5 to +30 °C, increment: 0.5 °C 12.3.1 Setting holiday mode in the app To configure the desired time and temperature settings for holiday mode, tap the B5 button on the thermostat control page to access the settings. Then, tap the C7 button to go to the holiday mode settings. Firstly, select the start and end time together with the date and time and then configure the temperature.

    12.5 Detecting open windows 12.5.1 Method 1 - Detection with the aid of a door/window sensor Assuming you have a door/window sensor connected to the app, you can pair it with the thermostat via a scene. This enables intelligent temperature control when opening a window or door. Tap the second button from the left at the bottom of the app’s main page and then tap the blue button to create a scene.

    12.6 Comfort and ECO temperature You can easily toggle between the comfort and ECO temperature using the app. You can also do this when the thermostat is in automatic mode. The selected temperature remains active until the next program change in the heating profile.     12.9 Frost protection mode You can activate the frost protection function when, for example, you are not at home for extended periods in winter. When this function is activated, the temperature in your home is maintained at 8 °C. Activating the frost protection function deactivates all other functions. To activate/deactivate the frost protection function, tap the B5 button on the thermostat control page to go to the thermostat settings page.
