Product description

OK button: On the top of camera is the "OK button", the system automatically switches to the "confirm button" in the menu interface.
Power button: : Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds to turn on or off. After powering on, it is in recording standby state. You can switch the mode by pressing the power button, click the first time to switch to the camera mode, click the second time to switch to the playback mode, the third time to switch to the setting mode.
Up button / WIFI button: Select up or turn on WIFI.
Down button: Select down.
Charging interface: The charging interface is a USB interface.
Memory card slot: The camera requires a memory card to be used.
LCD display: 2.0-inch LCD display.

Operation instruction of waterproof case

The camera needs to bring a waterproof case to be waterproof
For the first time to open the waterproof case, please follow the graphic tutorial to avoid damage to the waterproof case (please refer to the above graphic)
For the first time using the waterproof case, please take out the camera first, put a paper towel into it and test in water
Before putting the camera in the water, please check whether the waterproof case is tightly closed (press a few times after closing)

Before opening the waterproof case, please clean the water on the outside Of the waterproof case to avoid water ingress
Please don't expose the waterproof case to the sun, if there are water after use, please let it dry naturally or wipe it dry.

Basic camera operations

Installing and removing battery

Push battery cover tab to open it.
Install battery into camera as indicated by +/ symbols of arrows marked on battery until it's in place.
Battery charging indicator, red light means charging, red light off means camera is fully charged.
Remove Battery: Open cover to take battery out.

Inserting microSD card

Only use a branded microSD card and format it on a computer to use. Non-branded cards may cause erratic performance to the camera.
Insert the memory card correctly on the left side of the camera.

Charging

Charging can be done by connecting the camera to a computer, or using a power adaptor or a car charger.
SJ4K cameras can record video while charging on the Car Mode
SJ4K camera can be charged even when it's powered off.

Charging method:

The camera is equipped with a data cable, and the charger needs to be prepared by yourself.
Use the power bank to charge and support recording while charging. (The red light is always on during charging, and the red light is off when fully charged)

Crash: When the camera crashes, jams, or other conditions are caused by improper operation, you can directly pull out the battery and reinsert it to return to normal. This operation will not affect the performance of the camera.

Dash Cam/ Car Mode:

Go to the setting menu and select car mode to record.
Camera will switch on automatically when the car is started while connected to a car charger.

Video Mode:

The camera enters the recording standby mode by default after power on, there will have an icon (picture) appear on the upper left corner to remind you the mode you chose.
Press "OK" to start recording and upper eft corner will flash from
Press "OK" again while recording, then it will stop.

Photo Mode:

When turning on the camera, you can switch to "Photo Mode" in the main menu, there will have an icon (picture) appear on the upper left corner of the screen and the camera indicating that photo mode is set. then press "OK" to take photos.

File Storage and Media Reproduction:

Switch to playback mode by pressing the power button.
Use a USB cable or card reader to transfer the files from the camera to the computer.

The function of camera may be changed due to upgrading and updating of products. Please take the specifications of the actual product as the criterion.

Camera function introduction

Resolution: 4K (3840*2160)30FPS 2K (2560x1440) 30FPS 1080 (1920x1080) 30FPS 720 (1280x720) 60/30FPS WVGA (800x480)30FPS VGA (640x480)30FPS, lower resolution is not recommended. (*4K is not supported when WiFi is turned on)
Loop Recording: Mainly used as a vehicle-mounted function. When a 3-minute cycle is set, every 3 minutes of recording will be saved as a video and then re-recorded. When the memory card is full, the first segment will be automatically deleted. (Can be set off / 3 / 5 / 10 minutes)
Video Lapse: It is equivalent to time- apse recording. For example, if you accelerate 1 hour of video to 1 minute and play it, you can shoot slow scenes such as white clouds flowing / bud blooming.
Time Stamp: The time displayed on the screen when taking a video or photo.
Burst Mode: Take a series of photos at a time.
Image Size: 40M is an abbreviation of pixel, representing 40 million pixels, and then 20M, 16M, 12M, and 10M are getting lower.
EV: According to the shooting scene settings, too dark can be adjusted up, too bright can be adjusted down.
White Balance: You can choose different modes in different environments, the shooting effect is better.
Delete: Delete the captured file.
Audio: : Whether to enable the audio function.
Language: You can choose many different languages.
Format: Format the file. When using the memory card for the first time, please insert it into the camera to format it.
Auto Power Off. the camera will automatically shut down after no operation for a certain period of time. The time can be set to off / 3 minutes / 5 minutes / 10 minutes. Note: The video mode will not automatically shut down after being turned on.
Screensaver: The screen will automatically turn off after a certain period of time without any operation, and once press the key, the camera will wake up again. The screen saver's time can be set to off/30 seconds/ 1 minute/3 minutes/5 minutes.
Frequency: The frequency of the received light source. The domestic applicable light source frequency is 50Hz / 60Hz, which can be selected by yourself.
Default setting: Restore the factory settings of the camera.
Version: Showing the version information of the camera.
FOV: can be set to off/wide/medium/narrow to adjust the shooting angle range.
WDR: It can be set to on/off, and the environment brightness can be automatically balanced in a too dark environment or a too bright environment.
Motion Detection: In the power-on state, when an object moves within the shooting range of the camera, the camera will automatically start recording; when there is no moving object, the camera will automatically stop recording after 10 seconds.

WI-Fl connection

This product can be connected to a mobile phone or tablet (Android or iOS system) via WiFi by following the steps below:

Android

Install the APP "SJCAM Zone" on your mobile phone or tablet. Use Google Play for android devices (China Mainland turn to Application) or APP store for Apple devices.
After turning on the camera, press the UP/WIFI button once to turn on the WIFI, and the Wi-Fi icon will be displayed on the screen.
Enable WiFi on your mobile devices, search WiFi of Wi-Fi SJ4K series and connect it. The initial password is 12345678.
When WiFi is connected, " WiFi Connection Ready" will display on screen.
Videos and images will be directly displayed on your APP.

Accessories and assembly

Introduction of accessory accessories
Spare back cover: : In order to prevent the back cover of the waterproof case from being accidentally damaged by scratches and the like, the rear display can not be seen and affect the photo. We have an extra back cover for you so that you can take whatever you want.
Round adapter: The round adapter can be split into a round head base and a round head bracket. The round head base is mainly installed under the waterproof shell, and the round head bracket is mainly installed on other adapters.
Adapter. Mainly used to change direction and adjust angle.
3M Adhesive: It can be used as a spare adhesive for the helmet base. You can tear off the original adhesive on the base and replace it. If the helmet position is too large, you can also cut it into a small pad to reinforce it in the gap.
Wiping cloth: Clean the camera lens, body, etc.
Helmet base: The accessory used to mount the camera on the helmet, and the sticker can be attached by tearing off the sticker.
Data cable: used to charge the camera or connect to a computer to transfer data, etc.

Cautions

Please read the user manual carefully before using the camera for the first time.

Memory card: : The camera does not contain a memory card. It needs to be used with a TF card to support a maximum of 128G and a minimum of 8G. (Please use brand or our company's high-quality memory card, otherwise it may cause storage failure)
Waterproof description: The camera itself is not waterproof, need to wear a waterproof case before going into the water, please check whether the waterproof case is completely closed before launching.
Temperature description: Electronic products emit high temperatures when they are used, which is normal
Maintenance service: The camera cannot be used due to unauthorized disassembly. It is not covered by the warranty. If you have any questions during the use, please contact customer service in time.
Battery disposal: Please do not throw the product or its battery to the garbage, find a specific recycling point for it.
Tips

It is a high-precision product, do not drop it or crash it.
Never leave the products expose to high temperature or direct sunlight.
Keep the device in cool.dry a nd dust-free places. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth.
When charging, please keep this product out of the reach of children to avoid accidental suffocation or electric shock caused by the power cord.
