Turn on scale
Turn on the Acaia scale.
Tap T button
Make sure the scale is in weighing mode and the unit is set to 'gram', then tap the 'T' button rapidly.
See CAL display
Keep tapping the 'T' button until 'CAL' is shown on the display.
Place a weight
Place a weight on the scale and wait until the display shows '_End_'. Calibration is now complete!
Note: You may also use 500 g, 1000 g or 2000 g weights. If you use weights other than Acaia Weights, we recommend F2 class standard calibration weights.
The Flow-Rate Indicator is an LED bar on the top of the display. It helps you visualize your espresso flow-rate in real time and spot channeling during brewing.
In Mode 1 to Mode 6, the indicator measures espresso flow-rate with lit LEDs starting from 0.1 g/s on the left to 3.4 g per second on the right. When the flow-rate exceeds 5.0 g/s, the last three LEDs lights up with enhanced brightness, indicating a high flow-rate. During an espresso brew, the Flow-Rate Indicator will display the highest peak flow-rate of this brew with a single bright LED.
Enable markings on the Flow-Rate Indicator for easier reading of the flow-rate value. Each marking indicates an increment of 0.5 g/s for the current flow-rate, and the highest marking is 4.0 g/s.
In Mode 7 (Pour Over Auto-Start Timer Mode), the Flow-Rate Indicator helps you visualize your pouring speed in real time and suggests thresholds for ideal flow rates. The indicator measures flow rates with lit LEDs starting from 0.2 g/s on the left to 4.0 g/s on the right. When the flow-rate exceeds 12.0 g/s, the last three LEDs lights up with enhanced brightness. This indicates a high flow rate.
Enable markings on the Flow-Rate Indicator for easier reading of the flow-rate value. Each marking indicates an increment of 2.0 g/s for the current flow-rate, and the highest marking is 8.0 g/s.
Note: To enable this function, please see Flow-Rate Indicator in the Configuration section. Set the Flow-Rate indicator to Grad.
Place a cup on the scale to start brewing.
During an espresso brew, the Flow-Rate Indicator will display the highest peak flow-rate of this brew with a single bright LED.
The highest peak flow-rate LED will stay on the display during an espresso brew.
When brewing is completed, the highest peak flow-rate LED will stay on the display.
When brewing is completed and the cup is removed from the scale, the display will flash to show the final beverage weight and the average flow-rate of the brewing. The Flow-Rate Indicator will show the average flow-rate with a stripe LED and the highest peak flow-rate with a single bright LED.
If you have a frequently used container in your weighing workflow, you can save the weight of the container using the Tare Save function.
