Preparation
• Insert a disc that has been recorded on.

Press DIRECT NAVIGATOR.

Press ▲▼◄► to select the title and press ENTER.
• You can also select titles with the NUMBER keys.
e.g., 5: [0] → [5] 15: [1] → [5]
• If you enter a number larger than the total number of titles, the last
title is selected.

Fast forward and rewind (Search)

Press ► ► FF/SLOW or ◄ ◄ REW/SLOW during play.
• On the unit, hold down ► ► Ι or Ι ◄ ◄.
• The speed increases up to 5 steps.
• Press PLAY/×1.3 to restart play.
• Sound is output only in the first level of fast forward. In the case of
DVD-A (except moving picture parts), CD and MP3, it is output in all
levels.
• You can turn off the sound during search. (Refer to "Search Audio &
PLAY ×1.3" on page 69.)
• Press PLAY/×1.3 to return to normal speed.
Skipping

Press SKIP ► ► Ι or SKIP Ι ◄ ◄ during play or while
paused.
• On the unit, press ► ► /► ► Ι or Ι ◄ ◄/◄ ◄.
• Each press increases the number of skips.
• Pressing Ι ◄ ◄ or ► ► Ι while the playback control feature on Video
CDs (p. 70) is working may take you to a menu screen.
Skipping a minute forward (CM Skip)

Press CM SKIP during play.
• Play restarts from approximately a minute later.
Note:
• If the start of the next program is within one minute of the point you
skipped from, play restarts from the beginning of that program.
