IDENTIFICATION, CONNECTIONS, AND MAINTENANCE

GENERAL
1.01
The 'G 12A (A&M only) (Fig. 1 and 2) or
G15A (Fig. 3, 4, and 5) handsets are for
general use with modular telephone sets.
The
G 15Y handset is intended solely for use with
specially engineered systems-not for general
telephone use.

IDENTIFICATION
A.
Purpose
2.01
To provide a handset that will accept a
plug-in type handset cord.
Note:
The G12A handset may be used with
H5AD handset cord (modular telephone sets)
or with H5AE handset cord (nonmodular sets)
to provide message waiting service for stations
not equipped with standard apparatus to provide
the service.
The plug grommet of these
handset cords contain a neon glow lamp enclosed
in a clear lucite housing.

must be ordered separately)
• Set, Hand, G15Y-* (H4DU-* handset cord
