installation, or maintenance manual. This manual may require you to change
one or more of these jumper settings.
Setting the drive's terminator resistors
Figure 2 shows the two removable SCSI bus terminator resistor
packs on the CD-ROM drive. Your drive may not need these
terminator resistor packs. If you are installing the CD-ROM drive
in an AViiON system, refer to the next section. If you are installing
the CD-ROM drive in a PC, refer to the section, "For personal
computer users."
For AViiON system users
Refer to the installation or setup manual for your AViiON computer
or mass-storage subsystem. In most cases, the drive does not
require the two terminator resistor packs installed because AViiON
systems use an external SCSI bus terminator plug. If you need to
remove or install the resistor packs, refer to Figure 2.
