CONTROLS
PWR ON/OFF
Thisslide
switch turns on

The MocIcl Ml can operateeither froman internalNiCad

Filter Mode
Turnon the ALTER switchto reducerandomcounting,
noise,

falsesignals.A

digitalfilteringalgorithmpermits

measurements
to
be displayed.Thismakesusing the MOOel Ml mucheasier
and makes
frequency
findingmuch
more
powerful,
becausedistant or
short
duration
frequenciescan
be
pickedout
of the backgroun
d
clutter.
In the FILTER
mode,the GATELEDblinks each timea measurementpassesthe filter.To make
the filtereven more effective at eliminatingfalsecounting,a higher level of filtering
can be selectedat
power
up by holdingdown the GAIE
push
button until the
depteytestappears In this mode,the digital filter algorithm
IS
more
selective.

Capture
Mode
When
the RLTERswitch and CAPTURE switchare
both turned on. the ModelMl is in
the
powerfulDIGITAL AlITOCAJTIURE
mode.
In
this mode, the ARM/STOREpush button switch
is
active
.
Whenthe
ARM/STOREpush button is depressed.the next measurement
to
pass
the filter
will be displayedand stored in menory. While armed, the FREQUENCY annuncia-
tor flashes.Whena
measurement
passesthe filter,the FREQUENCY
annunciato r
stops flashing,and the
GATE LED
blinks
once.
Eachtime the
ARM/STORE
push
button is depressed, the nextmeasurement
to
pass
the filter
is
displayedand stored
in
memory
.
Threeinternal
memory
registers(Register
X.
RegisterA, and Register
B)
allow the
most
recent three measurementswhich
pass
the filter to be
remem-
bered and recalled

Rtall Mode
RECALL mode is selected by turning off the RLTER

registers
can be
displayed.
